Sales and Business Development Manager
Location: Mumbai
Department: Sales & Business Development Reports To: Founder and CEO
Job Summary:
As the Sales and Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in driving the sales of our firm by managing client acquisition and expanding our portfolio of our client base. You will be responsible for identifying new and potential clients, mapping competition, tracking martech and marketing services landscape, nurturing client relationships, understanding the client requirements, preparing pitch and other relevant documents to assist the Founder and CEO in winning the clients and assist in onboarding and align with the delivery teams. Your expertise in sales, CRM providing periodic sales activity reports, creating and updating sales and business development collaterals will be critical to your success in meeting revenue targets and growing our firms presence in the market in India and abroad.
Key Responsibilities:
Understand the landscape:
Research on the activities in the client, partners, tech/solutions vendors, competition and the marketing services ecosystem
Assist the CEO and team in sales strategy, new productized service offerings, pitch and sales collateral development
Sales Planning and Rollout:
Develop and implement a comprehensive sales plans and strategy, including target client lists aimed at securing new clients and plans for onboarding and working with delivery teams in meeting the booking, book and bill and revenue targets and slippages in the plan
Work with CEO and other partners in mapping existing and new relationships in the lead generation client target list for implementing the go-to client strategy with relevant L1, L2, L3 and tender/other collaterals
Customer and Partner Ecosystem Relationship Management:
Develop CRM system requirements and assist in implementation of relevant CRM system selected to automate the sales process
Manage the CRM system to manage client interactions, track progress, and maintain accurate records of sales activities
Develop and maintain account management templates in the CRM system to assist the CEO and the delivery teams to map relationships in the existing and future accounts that are acquired
Lead Generation
Work with the internal teams for automated lead generation sales campaigns, emailers and other prospecting communications
Follow up on the go-to-partners on behalf of the CEO on leads generations
Create and roll out and follow up on PR and other communication materials in the press, digital and social media to assist in brand building and lead generation
Negotiation & Contract Management:
Assist in negotiations with clients, ensuring win-win outcomes that align with both client needs and agency goals
Assist in contracts and agreements, working closely with the internal teams to ensure compliance with terms and conditions
Reporting & Sales Performance:
Quick Management Information (QMI) : Create and report period QMI to report various sales metrics and performance to drive the sales activity by week
Provide accurate sales forecasts and reporting to Founder, highlighting progress, opportunities, and challenges
Requirements
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
Experience:
5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or client management, preferably within a marketing or advertising agency
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and building lasting client relationships
Skills:
Strong understanding of digital marketing, branding, content marketing, social media strategies, and other marketing solutions
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with the ability to influence decision-makers
Ability to identify client pain points and offer creative marketing solutions that address their business needs
Proficiency in CRM software and other sales management tools
Understanding of various martech solutions, trends and implementation services
